On December 17th, just prior to the holidays, we received the visit of a photograph who presented to us his work : Richard Guitteny. We gathered in the library of the school to listen to him and also to discover his pictures. All the students of the 3rd euro and 4th euro were there.
He explained to us why he had chosen to take only black and white pictures and why he was still using argentic. He explained to us the importance of taking into account different aspects before taking a picture. He also told us that he had decided now to focus on one theme : consumption.
Key ideas of his presentation :
- Necessity of a balance between the substance and the form.
- A good picture can be ugly.
- Taking a picture is about who we are.
- Using technics to convey emotions.
- No picture is innocent.
